Robert (Bob) Merritt, a former resident of New Kingston and Margaretville, has graduated from the U.S. Navy Great Lakes Recruit Training Center and is currently attending school for Master at Arms (security and law enforcement) training school in San Antonio, Texas. Merritt is a 2007 graduate of Margaretville Central School.
Adam Barrett, son of Thomas and Anne Barrett of Andes, has been placed on the Dean’s List for the Fall semester at Adirondack Community College in Queensbury. Adam, who earned a grade point average of 3.2 or better, is enrolled in the adventure sports and leadership training program. Adam is a graduate of Andes Central School.
Delhi — Joseph Brybag of Fleischmanns, has been cited for academic achievement for the Fall 2008 semester at the State University of New York College of Technology at Delhi. Brybag, an electrical construction and controls major, has qualified for the Honors List. To qualify for the Honors List, a student must have an academic average between 3.50 and 3.74.
