South Kortright to host golf tournament for Youth Association

The Stamford Golf Course will play host to the South Kortright Golf Tournament this year on July 20. The tournament will kick off with a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. Teams will consist of fourperson scrambles with golfers of all ages and skill levels encouraged to participate.

All proceeds of the tournament will go to the South Kortright Youth Association. The cost of the tournament will include Skins and Mulligans and a tournament gift. Low rates are available for students and members of the course. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be served at Noon before the tournament begins.

Following the tournament, the South Kortright Central School Alumni Dinner will be held at the golf course and will be an additional cost. The South Kortright Golf Tournament is a great opportunity to enjoy a fun round of golf and great food from Bistro on the Green. “PAR-FECT” GOLF WEATHER — Business was booming at all the local golf courses over the holiday weekend and into this week as many people used the absolutely fantastic weather to get out and play a round of golf. After a spring and early summer filled with rain, pent up demand coupled with a holiday weekend created perfect scenario for local course owners and operators.
