Ida M. Bove, 87, born August 4, 1931 to her parents Lindley and Viola Farley, died February 5 2019 at the Fox Nursing Home, Oneonta, NY. She moved to Arkville 1972 and on to Margaretville and had also resided in Delhi Senior Community for the last 20 years.
She was a beautiful, amazing woman, a good friend and caring mom. “Our best critic and strongest supporter,” said her family. She loved the mountains and seasons and would live nowhere else on earth.
Ida volunteered her time at the thrift store in Margaretville and at Delaware Opportunities, Walton. She started bingo, exercise classes and bible study at the Delaware Senior Community. She enjoyed submitting poetry and saved tidbits to the monthly newsletter. Winters she kept busy reading and doing puzzles and putting them on a board to be displayed. She loved walking and sitting with her cat Pearly May and listening to Christian Music.
Ida was preceded in death by her husband Stephen Bove, son Anthony Bove, daughter Patricia Bove and her brother Lindley Farley and sisters Priscilla Farley, Pearl Jarvis and Vicki Stiles. She is survived by her brother James Farley and daughter’s Diane Mordica and Regina Spatafora as well as grandchildren, Daniel Bove, Tamatha Spatafora, Jason Spatafora, Bella Morris, Sofia Morris, Kevin Morris, III and Finnegan Morris and great great granddaughter Adelynn Spatafora.
