Charlie T. Snyder, 55, of Grand Gorge and a life long resident of the area, passed away Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019.
Born December 10, 1963 in Stamford he was the son of Charlie N and Linda (Rose) Snyder. He graduated from Roxbury Central School in 1983.
Charlie was an Army veteran having served in Fort Polk, LA and in the NYS Army Reserves. He was a salesman and manager at the Archer/Bellevue Lumber Yard in Roxbury for more than 20 years.
Charlie loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to garden and enter his vegetables in the Grange at the County fair.
Most of all, Charlie loved his children Charlie N. Snyder of Hudson, Jennifer (Jason) Utt of Tucson, AZ and Kelly (James) Weishar of Roxbury and his beautiful grand daughters Ariah and Emma Weishar.
Also surviving is his mother, Linda Brannen of Roxbury, sister Fawn (Shawn) Jaeger of Jewett, Steve (Barbara) Brannen, Cape Coral, FL, Elizabeth (Joe) Bussiere of Grand Gorge, Emily (Scott) Mattice of Roxbury and Carol (Kevin) Accordino of Grand Gorge. Many loved nieces and nephews survive and always had a hug for Uncle Chuckie.
Funeral services will be Sunday, Oct. 13 at Jay Gould Church in Roxbury. Calling hours will be from Noon to 1:00 p.m. A service at 1:00 p.m. will be followed by burial in Roxbury Cemetery next to his beloved grandparents Howard & Daisey Rose. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Miller Funeral Home, Roxbury, NY.
