Top grads named in Andes and Roxbury
Andes Central School
Matthew Armstrong has been named the valedictorian of the Andes Central School Class of 2012. Matthew is the son of Robert Armstrong of Andes and Karen Heilker. While at ACS, Matthew has been very active in the choral program. He plans to attend SUNY Albany and major in nanoscience.
Ashley Terry has been named the salutatorian of the Andes Central School Class of 2012. Ashley is the daughter of Michael Terry and JoAnne Yager, both of Andes.
Ashley has been a very active participant in the music and athletic programs. She is currently the student council president, a member of the National Honor Society, Outdoor Club, SADD, Travel Club, Yearbook and has had major roles in school musicals.
She plans to attend Keuka College and major in political science.
Roxbury Central School
Angela Lynn Perazone is the valedictorian for the Class of 2012.
She is the daughter of Brian and RuthAnn Perazone of Roxbury. Angela has participated in each drama production since seventh grade. She also has been a member of the Roxbury Science Olympiad Team, where she won numerous medals.
Angela has been member of the National Honor Society since 10th grade and served as president this past year. Angela was the recipient of the University of Rochester Frederick Douglas and Susan B. Anthony Award, the Scholar Recognition Award and was awarded one of the State Academic Excellence Scholarship Awards. Angela has participated in varsity softball and soccer in addition to receiving scholar athlete awards. She plans to attend Siena College in the fall and major in marketing. Angela also was awarded the Presidential Scholarship from Siena.
Abigail Anne Wallace is the salutatorian of the Class of 2012.
She is the daughter of Sid and Karen Wallace of Roxbury. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Science Olympiad, and has attended many leadership conferences. The past two years, she was the secretary of the National Honor Society, Class of 2012 and Drama Club.
Abby has also played major roles in the RCS Drama Production since eighth grade. Abigail received the Presidential Scholarship Award from SUNY Delhi. She plans to attend SUNY Delhi this fall and major in liberal arts.
