Richard Lalosh Sr.

Richard J. Lalosh Sr., age 66 of Roxbury died April 24, 2018.

He was born in Bayshore, the son of Michael and Dolores (Coupe) Lalosh. He married Debora (McStine) Lalosh 44 years ago and they have three children and six grandchildren (with another on the way).

He is survived by his wife Debbie, children Richard Jr. (Richard III and Kristin); Jacqueline (Lalosh) DeMaio (Jaden, Kylie, Lexi); Gregory (Leigha) and his sister Diane (Thom) and brother Bill as well as his beloved dogs Jax and Cassie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and family who have always looked to Richard for his love and guidance.

He was predeceased by his parents and brothers Michael Jr. and Donald.

He is loved by all. As a Marine, he served his country in the Vietnam War and has spent the last four years valiantly battling cancer.

As a member of the community he has been a volunteer firefighter all his life, both as a young man in Holbrook, NY and then in Roxbury. Richard was an active member of the American Legion Post 1785.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at the Roxbury Fire Department, Roxbury, NY at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2018 with Rev. Richard Dykstra officiating.

Memorial gifts in memory of Richard J. Lalosh may be made to the Roxbury Fire Dept. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Miller Funeral Home, Roxbury.
