Scott Kirk

Scott Kirk, 47, of Roxbury, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2017, at his residence.

Born on October 5, 1969 in Delhi, he was the son of Diane Ingram and John Fronckowiak.

He was employed by Gerster Trucking of Davenport. Scott enjoyed being outdoors; hunting, fishing, boating, golfing, and snowmobiling. He enjoyed being an active member of the Roxbury Fire Department.

He is survived by a daughter, Vanessa Platt; his parents, Diana Kirk and John (Franie) Fronckowiak; a grandmother, Elizabeth Ingram; brothers and sisters, Dennis E. Kirk, Denise Kirk, Clifton F. Kirk Jr. Danielle (Dante) Giambastiani, Eric and Kane Fronckowiak; nieces and nephews, Terrance Kelly, Reggie Harshaw Jr., Jada Harshaw, Mekhi Harshaw, Montgomery, Angel and Caroline Giambastiani, and Clifton Andrew Kirk, nephew to Rose VanKeuren, and Sandy Havrish. Several cousins also survive.

Scott was predeceased by his adoptive father, Clifton F. Kirk; his grandmother, Viola Kirk, an uncle, Gerry Ingram and his grandfather, Donald Ingram.

Calling hours will be held at the Miller Funeral Home in Roxbury on Thursday, June 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m.

Scott’s funeral service will be held at the church where he was baptized, the United Methodist Church in Roxbury, on Friday, June 16 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Dykstra, officiating.

There will be a time of sharing following the funeral service at the Roxbury Fire Department. If friends have pictures of Scott to share, please bring them to the funeral home.

Donations in memory of Scott Kirk may be made to the Roxbury Fire Department.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Miller Funeral Home, Roxbury.
