Ann Buswell Remembered

Many News readers will remember Ann Buswell who with her husband Stuart, started and successfully ran a bakery, coffee shop, restaurant that eventually became the Flour Patch and is now Picnic.  Ann and Stu were active members of the Main Street, Margaretville business associations and Ann was also an artist who sold her works in her East Branch Gallery and Gift Shop in the Binnekill Square complex.  Ann passed away this week and her obituary follows:

Angelina Buswell

Angelina “Ann” Buswell, 91,  a former  resident of Margaretville, died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016 at Port Jefferson.

Ann was born June 7, 1925 in Manhattan, the daughter of Pietro and Mariagrazia (Coma) De’Fina.

She married Stuart E. Buswell on June 4, 1944. He died on December 12, 2012.

Ann is survived by two sons, Peter and Jamie, eight grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held at the Hynes Funeral Home in Margaretville on Sunday, Oct. 30 from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 until 8 p.m.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday,  Oct. 31 at the Sacred Heart Church in Margaretville with Father Steven Scarmozzino as celebrant.

Committal prayers will follow at the Bedell Cemetery in Fleischmanns.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Hynes Funeral Home, Margaretville.
