Polyna Rogacevitch

Polyna Rogacevitch, a resident of Roxbury and a holocaust survivor, died at her home on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016.

She was born in Russia on February 2, 1932. Polyna married Josef Rogacevitch on March 18, 1949 in Brazil. He died on December 4, 1987.

She enjoyed baking and worked at Kass Inn, later Hanah Country Resort, in Margaretville for several years.

Surviving are two daughters, Valerie (James) Jamrozy and Elizabeth (David) Cowan; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren; a sister, Riasa and a brother, Victor.

Calling hours will be held at the Miller Funeral Home in Roxbury on Tuesday, Oct. 25 from 4 until 7 p.m.

A prayer service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct.  26 at the Miller Funeral Home with Fr. Theophylact officiating.

A committal service will follow at the Roxbury Cemetery.

Donations in memory of Polyna may be made to the Catskill Area Hospice.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Miller Funeral, Home, Roxbury.
