The Andes Presbyterian Church will be holding a Spring Cleaning Auction at the church starting at 10 a.m. Chuck McIntosh will host as auctioneer and the Ladies’ Auxiliary will furnish items for lunch.

A Chicken Barbecue to benefit the Grand Gorge United Methodist Church will be held from 11:30 a.m. until sold out at the Grand Gorge Firehouse on Route 30, Grand Gorge. Chicken halves $6. Extras will be available.

John Dilworth Newman, author of the stage adaptation of “A Year Down Yonder,” takes stage in a solo performance of “Vincent” at 2 p.m. by Leonard Nimoy at The Open Eye Theater, 960 Main Street, Margaretville. Tina Harp of “Mountain Yarns” will present a “Sheep to Shawl” demonstration as part of a “Spring Fiber Festival” in the second floor atrium of the Commons Building on Main Street Margaretville from 1-5 p.m. in the continuing multi-arts “Art in Common” spring events. Visitors will experience the fiber process from start to finish.

The 11th annual Heart of the Catskills Humane Society's Spring Dinner Dance and Auction will be held at 6 p.m. in the Overlook Lodge at Belleayre Mountain in Highmount. This will be an evening of fine dining, live music with local band “onKor,” and dancing.
