Anyone interested in enriching the lives of residents at Mountainside Residential Care Center or patients at Margaretville Hospital is invited to a Volunteer Signup Open House between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Visitors will get an orientation tour and can complete the required paperwork for registration. Those interested in volunteering should bring an updated immunization record. Start: 10:30 am

Longyear Gallery hosts a reception for a “Group Show” in from 4-7 p.m. its gallery in the Commons Building at 785 Main Street, Margaretville. The show and reception are part of the multi-arts “Art in Common” Saturday event series that will continue through out the winter and spring in the Commons Building. Refreshments will be available.
