The Upstage NY Community Coffeehouse will present a Valentine’s Show at 7 p.m. at the Pine Hill Community Center at 287 Main Street, Pine Hill. Featured will be four couples who also make music together, acoustic and in the round. Guests will also enjoy candlelit tables, hot coffees and teas. $5 admission benefits the ongoing programs of the center.

The Andes Roundtable will hear a talk by Jeffrey Ditchek of The Opportunity Group and Bob Hanye of the Association for Vision Rehabilitation and Employment Inc., on “Services for the Blind in Delaware County.” The presentation will take place at 7 p.m. at The Hunting Tavern on Main Street, Andes. The Open Eye Theater at 960 Main Street, Margaretville is welcoming volunteers for an Early Spring Cleaning and a Pasta Primavera Lunch from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Strong-armed folks are being sought for some lifting, but there’s also plenty to do for those who cannot do much lifting. The Jay Gould Memorial Reformed Church Women’s Group will host a “Women of Faith Fellowship Brunch” at 10:30 a.m. in the church basement. The Catskill Mountain Artisans’ Guild presents “Jewelry Artists at Work” from 3-6 p.m. throughout the Commons Building at 785 Main Street, Margaretville. Three fine craft artisans, Barbara Petrini, Sherril Berry-Wysong and Ruthy Freund will demonstrate jewelry techniques ranging from crocheting, beading, wrapped crystals to brass and cooper coiling.
“Food for Thought with Ann Epner,” a Writers in the Mountains workshop, will be held from 10 a.m.-noon at the Fairview Library on Walnut Street, Margaretville. Particpants will read some of the classics and write in any genre that pleases them. The only rule is that the writing be food-related. Bring a short piece to the first class. No previous writing experience needed. $65.
The Andes Roundtable will hear a talk by retired biology professor Bill Piervincenzi, entitled “Your Heart and You.” He describes it as “the story of how we came to know what we do about heart disease, and what exciting new progress in our knowledge and practices we are most likely to see in the future.” The talk will be held at 7 p.m. at The Hunting Tavern on Main Street, Andes.
