Woofs 'n' Wags Dog Walk and Fair scheduled for Sept. 19 in Delhi

The 7th Annual Woofs n’ Wags Dog Walk and Fair will be held on Saturday, Sept. 19 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the American Legion Field on Route 10 in Delhi.
The annual Dog Walk fund-raiser benefits the Heart of the Catskills Humane Society, providing much needed monetary support for the Catskill region’s homeless dogs and cats. Each year, the Dog Walk promotes the joys of pet ownership while highlighting two dozen animals from over 275 available for adoption.
The theme for this year’s FUN-raising event is the doggie version of the famous Louisiana Mardi Gras, “MUTTI GRAS!” This will be a great day out for pooches and their people to listen to good music and enjoy great Cajun food while letting their fur and hair down with some outrageous costumes and activities. And, in honor of our feline friends, we will have a Cajun Cat Tent dedicated to their purr-fectness, Louisiana style!
“The success of this fun and exciting event could not be possible without help from the community to raise pledges and donations,” says Deb Crute, Director of Shelter Operations. “Our supporters and adopters are the reason our events are so successful,” Crute adds. The pledge dollars that are collected will provide much needed items – food, vaccinations, testing, medicine, spay and neutering and a comfortable and safe place to live for the homeless dogs and cats at the shelter. A special thank-you goes to the Royal Boss Dog Sponsors, Delhi Liquor Store and The Delaware National Bank of Delhi, as well as all of our other sponsors. Go to www.heartofthecatskills .org to see the complete list of sponsors, to download your pledge form and start collecting today!
All dogs who attend must be up to date on rabies and all vaccines. Walkers without pets are welcome.
