Wayne L. Scudder, 67, a resident of Fleischmanns, died October 24, 2013 at Margaretville Hospital.
Wayne was born October 13, 1946 at Arkville, the son of Marvin and Lena (Germond) Scudder.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1969. Wayne enjoyed hunting, golfing, fishing and was a member of the Target Transmission Softball Team that played in Fleischmanns. He was also active in horseshoe and dart leagues. He operated the Target Transmission business in Pine Hill and worked for Aamco Transmissions in Kingston. Wayne was a Margaretville Central School bus driver and also drove the shuttle bus for Belleayre Ski Center. He was a golf ranger at Hanah Resort and Country Club in Margaretville.
Wayne is survived by his companion of 30 years, Pat McVitty; a son, Russell W. Scudder; a daughter, Jennifer Marie Scudder and four sisters, Lisa Lehmann, Bonnie Quick, Julie Scudder and Donna Ache. Five grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Wayne was predeceased by two brothers, George Scudder, and Duane Davis.
Calling hours were held Sunday, Oct. 27 at the Hynes Funeral Home, Margaretville.
A funeral service was held on Monday October 28, 2013 at the Hynes Funeral Home, Margaretville. The Ralph Darmstadt officiated.
A committal service following cremation will be held at a later date.
