Virginia Huggins

Virginia Anderson Reynolds Huggins, 87, of Newark, Del., formerly of Margaretville, died Friday, May 2, 2008 at her home. She was born in Fleischmanns on March 27, 1921, the daughter of the late Ward Keator Reynolds and Rebecca Marion Kilpatrick Reynolds.
She was a graduate of Wheelock College in Boston, Mass., and taught for a time at the prestigious Ogontz School at Rydal, Pa.
A talented homemaker and the beloved matriarch of her family, Mrs. Huggins devoted her life to caring for her husband, children and grandchildren. She greatly enjoyed cooking, sewing and reading.
Surviving are her husband of 64 years, C. Ray Huggins, Md.; daughter, Sally Johns and her husband, Lloyd of Elkton, Md.; son, John R. Huggins and his wife, Cynthia of Lebanon, Pa.; sister, Ann Rudolf and her husband, Robert of North Salem, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Thomas R. Huggins of Alexandria, Va.; Kristin Huggins Hummer and her husband, Craig of Elizabethtown, Pa.; M. Samuel Johns of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Nicholas R. Johns of Philadelphia, Pa. Also surviving are two great-granddaughters, Lara and Taryn.
The funeral service will be held privately. Interment will be held in Andes.
