Two-day Snow Cross planned in Stamford
Stamford — The Central Catskills Trail Association is inviting all to witness a two-day action packed show! The 2009 Snow Cross, sponsored by the Delaware National Bank of Delhi, will be held on February 7 and 8 on Murphy Flats, Route 23 in Stamford.
“This event is expected to draw 3,500 spectators,“ stated Central Catskills Trail Board member Jonathan LaFever. Boyle Excavating and his crew are prepared to make snow, so there is no doubt this event will be a success. “This year, the Central Catskills Trail Association has included Rock Maple Racing, a professional group riders, many of which compete at the X-Games and will undoubtedly put on a spectacular show,” LaFever continued.
The Central Catskills Trail Association is also looking for manpower for the two-day event; gate, parking, kitchen, crowd control, set up and tear down volunteers. Sponsorships are also welcomed to help make this a fantastic annual event.
Race gates open at 8 a.m., with racing action beginning at 9 a.m. $10 admission for a one-day pass, pit passes for both days are available for an additional $10, children under 10 are free!
