Twilight on the Rails rolls August 2 in Arkville

Twilight on a lovely evening, rolling fields, passing farms, and the rhythm of the rails are all on track as the Delaware & Ulster Railroad offers another moonlit excursion. Music, food, fun and a little romance play a part in this magical evening train ride through the scenic Catskills as the D&U rolls out of the Arkville depot on Saturday, Aug. 2 at 6:30 p.m.
The D&U welcomes Thunder Ridge, a five piece kickin’ country-rock band performing songs by artists such as Shania Twain, Toby Keith, Jo Dee Messina, Brooks & Dunn, Dixie Chicks, Garth Brooks and many more! They have performed at shows with Ricky Skaggs, Sawyer Brown, Charlie Daniels, Ricky Van Shelton and others. Thunder Ridge was the winner of the 1996 True Value Country Showdown, the largest music contest in the country.
With 13 years of experience behind them the group is still one of the hardest working and hardest playing bands in the Hudson Valley region. Their repertoire is highly varied and consists of new country music as well as some classic rock and roll. Catch them while you can on the Delaware & Ulster Railroad!
Passengers are encouraged to pack a picnic dinner and beverages of choice. Be sure not to miss this opportunity to hear some of the finest country music back dropped by some of the most beautiful scenery in the Catskills. Tickets are $17 per person. Reservations are strongly suggested and can be made by calling the Arkville Depot at 845 586-DURR or the Stamford office at 607 652-2821.
The DURR is located on state Route 28 in the hamlet of Arkville, 43 miles west of Kingston. The Delaware & Ulster is an I Love NY destination!
