Suessical play at MCS this weekend

PLAY TIME — The Margaretville Central School Scitamard Society will present "SEUSSICAL" on Friday and Saturday, April 4 & 5 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. "SEUSSICAL" is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! Tony winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty have lovingly brought to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant (Julian Rauter), The Cat in the Hat (James Warner), Gertrude McFuzz (Rhiannon Kearns), lazy Mayzie (Jessica Camano), and a little boy with a big imagination--Jojo (Ithamar Silva). The colorful characters transport us from the Jungle of Nool to the invisible world of the Whos. "SEUSSICAL" is fun for the whole family! The play is directed by Cassandra Olin with musical direction by Richard Tucker and assistance from William Powers. Tickets are $9 for adults and $8 for students (and seniors). For tickets, please call 845 586-2647 ext. 72 and leave a message. Actors shown above, in front row, from left, are: Michael Conroy (Mr. Mayor), Issis Orrego (Mrs. Mayor), Ben Fairbain (General Genghis Kahn Schmitz), James Warner (Cat in the Hat), Ithamar Silva (JoJo), Rhiannon Kearns (Gertrude McFuzz), Alana Moskowitz (Sour Kangaroo). Back row: Jessica Camano (Mayzie LaBird) and Julian Rauter (Horton the Elephant). This play is filled with plenty of laughs throughout. — Contributed photo
