Stanford wins 4th Emmy

Scott Stanford, son of Fleischmanns resident Arlene Stanford, won his fourth Emmy Award on Sunday, March 29 for Excellency in New York Sports Broadcasting. Stanford joined the WWOR My9 News Team in 2003 and now anchors the weekend sportscasts including a Sunday sports wrap up. He covers the sports beat as a reporter during the week.
Prior to joining My9, Stanford was the afternoon sport’s anchor on New York City’s WCBS Newsradion 880 where he was a play-by-play announcer for college basketball and arena football.
Stanford has earned multiple Emmy Awards for his on-camera achievements in sports reporting. He is also the 2002 and 2003 recipient of the “AIR Award,” which recognized him as the best radio sports anchor in the New York City market.
Stanford lives in New Jersey with his wife and daughter.
