‘Snow White’ plays at ACS

Andes — Andes Central School will present “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” in the school auditorium on March 6 and 7 at 7 p.m.

This family musical contains a zany, wisecracking Mirror who will only answer if spoken to in rhyme, as well as a whole court full of funny and bubbling characters. It hums with 14 lively songs.

Snow White runs away from the evil Queen and seeks refuge with seven little miners. But the Queen and her sister, a once-powerful witch, need “a locket from the pocket of a princess that is pure.” They come after Snow White, but Mirror leads members of the Queen’s court into the woods to thwart their evil plans. The Queen is trapped in an ugliness spell and forced to remain that way, as the entire court reminds her, “You’re the mirror of every deed that you do!”

The Junior and Senior Classes will be presenting the musical.  Fifth- and sixth-graders will play the roles of the Dwarfs.  The class of 2014 will be selling refreshments during intermission.
The show stars Hattie Brown as Snow White, Hope Egnaczak as Evil Queen and Jenna Weaver as Mirror. Tickets are $5. Information: 845 676-3166.
