Shultis retires from Coast Guard

Detroit, MI — Chief Warrant Officer 4 Christopher D. Shultis, son of Douglas and Marietta Shultis of Arkville, retired on July 17 with 30 years of service in the U.S. Coast Guard.
During his career he was stationed along the east coast from Maine to Florida and also in Louisiana and the Great Lakes. He attained the rank of Chief Petty Officer in 1994. In 1999 he was commissioned as a Chief Warrant Officer.
Shultis is a 1979 graduate of Margaretville Central School and presently resides in Michigan with his wife Beth.
He plans to retire in Virginia Beach where his daughter Amanda resides.
