Sherry D. Bush, 60, of Margaretville, died Wednesday, March 24, 2010, from injuries sustained in a car accident on Route 10 in the Town of Hamden. The daughter of Charles Lester and Arlene (Wickham) Reed, Sherry was born Nov. 29, 1949.
Sherry graduated from Margaretville Central School with the class of 1967 and attended State University College of Technology at Delhi, graduating in May of 1991 as a registered nurse.
She was married to George Bush on June 3, 1967, in Margaretville.
Sherry was employed as a registered nurse at Margaretville Memorial Hospital, Mountainside Residential Care Center, with Hospice and presently was employed by ARC. Before becoming a nurse, Sherry worked at Stucci Embroidery in Boiceville for 15 years.
Sherry was a member of Catskill Mountain Christian Center, Margaretville.
She enjoyed knitting, beading, scrapbooking and was a volunteer member of the Margaretville Fire Department Auxiliary.
Her grandchildren filled her life with love.
Surviving are her mother, Arlene Tweedie of Arkville; her husband, George Bush of Margaretville; two sons, Scott (Melanie) Bush of Margaretville, Gary Bush and fiancée, Brianna Burghardt of Binghamton; two daughters, Angie Serdiouk and fiancé, Rob Pangburn of Arkville; Kim (Tony) Maggio of Denver; grandchildren, Alex and Casey Serdiouk, Hailey, Alyssa and Anthony Maggio and a brother, Dan and (Sherry) Reed of Pennsylvania. Also surviving are 12 nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father, Charles Lester Reed, a sister, Tina Tweedie and brothers, Tim and Chuck.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 28, at Catskill Mountain Christian Center, Margaretville with Pastor Robert Englehardt officiating.
Burial was in Margaretville Cemetery annex following the service.
