Ruby Sprague
Ruby J. Sprague, 73, of Walton, passed away early Saturday morning, Aug. 21. 2010 at home in Walton, following a long illness.

She was born on March 13, 1937 in Margaretville, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Van Steenburgh) Sprague.
Ruby was employed for many years as a cook at Kass’s Inn, Margaretville.
She had a beautiful voice and loved to write songs and sing them for her family and friends. She also loved the outdoors and spending time with her grandkids.
Surviving are three daughters, Debra (Michael) Mills, Trout Creek; Donna Coss, Worcester; Abby (Richard) Palmer, Vernon Center; a son, John Coss, Andes; 14 grandchildren, Chellie, Cody, Garrett, Desirae, Shianne, John, Teresa, Travis, Megan, Morgan, Stephanie, Shucarie, Sam and Frank; a great-grandson, Colton; brothers, Victor, Asher and Clayton Sprague; sisters, Freda Manning, Betty Martin, Shirley Yeary and Doris Coss. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a daughter, Drusilla Coss and a son, Frank Coss.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 11 at 11 a.m. at the Halcott Cemetery.
