Roxbury seniors enjoyed St. Patrick's Day party


Roxbury seniors celebrated St. Paddy’s Day on Tuesday, March 18 at the Roxbury Firehall. The dinner was catered by Sharon Fleck and her “crew” with servers from Roxbury Central School: Morgan Romann, Drew Camillone, Teddy Huggins, Adam Arvanete and Josh Rossman. There were 55 members and five guests.
The chair people for the dinner were Sue Lemmon, Heidi Hochman and Arlene Stanford.
Guests Ed Morache and Carey Wagner gave an informative discussion in regards to concerns pertaining to the Margaretville Memorial Hospital.
The club’s 35th year anniversary will be celebrated at the Hidden Inn in September from 3 to 7 p.m.
Monday, April 7 is a trip to the Shaver Hill Maple Farm. The bus leaves Roxbury at 10 a.m.
Three new members joined the club. They are Jean Judge, Barbara Scudder and Jeannine Smith. Irene Fowles and Ruth Cashman also joined from Kirkside.
Connie reminded everyone that our next meeting is Tuesday, April 15 and our card party and luncheon will be Wednesday, April 30 from noon to 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome. The drawing for our raffles will be then.
