Have you noticed the Thai Flag fluttering at Elton Ridge’s house? It was there to welcome his longtime friend and houseguest, Professor Chawalart Letchalarm, (Chulikorn University). Mr. Ridge turned his kitchen over to Khun. Some very delicious dinners brought back old memories. This was the professor’s first visit to the Catskills. His constant comments were “It’s so quiet; it’s so wonderful; it’s so peaceful.”
Dick and Sue Kuhlow recently went to Fair Lawn, N.J., to see their grandson, Jake Yuskaitis, receive his Junior Black Belt in Karate. They were present as Jake went through rigorous testing. He then participated in the ceremony to receive his belt.

Robert Greenberg has volunteered to come every Thursday forenoon and give us yoga classes. We are glad we are able to have this class for us. Thanks, Robert, for your time and effort.
The FCCLA Club of Gilboa Central School held a Hawaiian Luau party for the residents on Tuesday (6/3/08) evening. The Kirkside living room was transformed into an “Island Getaway” with beautiful decorations. Fruit with umbrella toothpicks and punch were served, everyone enjoyed dancing with grass skirts and Hawaiian necklaces. A good time was had by all. Among all the FCCLA Club members was our administrator’s daughter, Samantha Fancher.
