Roxbury News: Aug. 11, 2010

Richard and Cynthia Herdegen of Vero Beach, Flordia are houseguests of Elton Ridge. Eugene and Wilma Bierne with the Herdegens and Elton, enjoyed dinner together Sunday at Hillside Manor, Kingston.

The service tentatively scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 14 at the Old School Baptist Church in Halcottsville will not take place. However there is a possibility a service could be held in September.

Sunday Duane and Cheryl Ely went to Montrose, Penn. and attended the 50th wedding anniversary party of his brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Glenda Ely.

Jonathan Dykstra is spending this week at Camp Fowler in Speculator.
Debbie Liddle, stepdaughter of Jim Finch of Richmond, Virginia, spent the weekend with Jim. Afterwards she left for the Adirondacks to visit her sister, Nancy Lutz. Debbie has recently returned from a trip to Greece.

Linda Hightower of Oxford, North Carolina, spent the weekend with Bea Hinkley and attended the wedding of Meghan Hynes and Ryan Cole on Saturday.
Carol Davis, niece of Elna Hinkley and Elna’s cousin, Virginia Cornell, both of Bloomville, spent Monday with Elna.

For week of August 4
Anthony Carmeli of Golden, Colo. spent Saturday and Sunday with his parents, Tony and Ruth Carmeli. He had been on a business trip in the East.

Vincent and Anne Snyder celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary, July 26, on Thursday evening with a family get-together at Mama Maria’s in Harpersfield. There was also an anniversary cake with candles to mark the occasion. Anne’s sister, Denise Hayden and two nieces, Kiera and Amanda of West Babylon, were present along with the following people: Tamara Snyder, and friend, Aaron Titch, Kristin Snyder, Greg and Kerry Snyder, Esther Snyder and Bob and Shirley Payne.

Emily Schuman has returned home after her surgery and following her recuperation period at Robinson Terrace. Since she is still confined to her home for the time being, cards and visitors are welcome.
