Roxbury Alumni Association gathered at Hanah
The Roxbury Central School (RCS) Alumni Association enjoyed their annual banquet on Saturday, July 20 at Hanah Country Club in Margaretville. Sixty members attended with the furthest away coming from Colorado.
The oldest attending members were Martha Tucek and Willis Sanford, both from the Class of 1937. A 50/50 raffle was won by Anthony Iacovelli, Class of 1974, and donated back to the association.
After the meal, the association meeting was called to order by Vice President Veronica Wranovics.
There was discussion about the future of the association due to a lack of volunteers and officers. There is little participation in the association from the past 20 years of RCS graduates.
A few of the members said that they were willing to meet at a later date to discuss the future of the annual event. Anyone interested in helping or who has ideas about the association is asked to call Betty Heiseler at 607 326-4336 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The evening ended with dancing to music by DJ Greg Pascrella.
