Rotary seeks adults for group study exchange
Vestal — Rotary District #7170, which includes local Rotary clubs, is sending a Group Study Exchange team to Peru from approximately May 1 to June 4, 2009. Sponsored by the Rotary Foundation, the trip promotes international understanding and goodwill through personal contact.
The District Group Study Exchange Committee is seeking four outstanding young professionals to participate as team members. The program involves a four-week visit, during which each member shares personal knowledge of the United States and experiences the culture, vocations and lifestyles of their Peruvian hosts. While abroad the team members stay in Rotarians’ homes, meet their professional counterparts and participate in Rotary Club meetings. Applicants cannot be Rotarians or immediate family members of Rotarians. Applicants should be 25 to 40 years of age, be employed full time in a recognized business or profession. The Rotary Foundation provides the round-trip airfare and the host Rotary Club provides meals, lodging and group travel. Team members pay for visas as well as personal and incidental expenses.
