Rocket boys blast Jefferson

After relying heavily on stingy defensive play during two crucial Delaware League victories last week, baskets came fast and furious for Roxbury in Jefferson last week.  Roxbury scored 28 points in the first quarter on their way to a crushing, 73-30, defeat of the JayHawks.

The Rockets’ onslaught continued in the second period when Roxbury outscored their hosts 18-6, to build a 46-11 advantage by intermission.

Three three-point field goals helped Spencer Hinkley score a game-high 15 points.  Eric Shultis and Sam Nash both scored 14 points for Roxbury.  Patrick Hanrahan and Chris Clark added eight points apiece and Derek Cowan chipped in seven.
