Richard "Dick" Kamp
Dick Kamp. 79, of Ossining passed away Friday, April 9, 2010. He was born Oct. 10, 1930 in Ossining, the son of Albert Jr. and Blanche Acker Kamp. Dick graduated from OHS in 1948 and was a veteran of the Korean War.
He worked for 35 years for AT&T and their subsidiaries. He was a 55-year member of the Ossining Fire Department, Independent Hose Company #6 and the Collabergh-Radium Masonic Lodge #895.
Dick enjoyed his family, gardening, tractors and his second home in the Catskills.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Helen, sons: Richard, David (Karen); daughters, Brenda Dias (John), Lisa Nestor (James) and grandchildren, Richard J., Eric, Heather, April, John, James, Ryan, Catherine and Jessica.
Funeral Services were Tuesday, April 13 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s on the Hill Episcopal Church with burial in Dale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated and may be made to the Firemen’s Home, 125 Harry Howard Avenue, Hudson, NY 12534 or St Paul’s Endowment Fund, 40 Ganung Dr., Ossining, NY 10562.
