Reading Between the Lines planned at Roxbury Library

Roxbury — Beginning in September, the Roxbury Library Association (RLA) will offer a four-month Reading Between the Lines (RBTL) adult book discussion group.
Led by Roxbury resident Ellen Stewart as facilitator, the RLA’s fall 2009 program will focus on the theme, Wasting Away: Contemporary Writing on Environmental Crises and will cover the following books on the specified dates and times: Garbage Land: On The Trail of Trash by Elizabeth Royle on Saturday, Sept. 12; White Noise by Don DeLillo on Saturday, Oct. 17; Water Wars: Privatization, Pollution, and Profit by Vandana Shiva on Saturday, Nov. 14 and Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler on Saturday, Dec. 12. Each meeting will be from1-3 p.m.
