RCS presents Little Shop of Horrors

Roxbury — The Roxbury Central School Drama Club will present “Little Shop of Horrors” on Friday and Saturday, November 11 and 12 at 7 p.m.

When Seymour Krelborn (Joe McAfee), an orphan and a nerd, is raised and given a job by Mrs. Mushnik (Abby Wallace), the owner of a run down florists on Skid Row, Seymour spends his time working in the flower shop, living in the basement and dreaming about Audrey (Angela Perazone), his co-worker. Confused and dejected Audrey dreams of a better life and works on her relationship with sadistic dentist, Orin Scrovillo, (Kyle Faraci). Seymour discovers a strange plant just after an eclipse of the sun, He names it, Audrey II (Jennifer Blunt). While caring for Audrey II, Seymour discovers the plant’s rather unique appetite. The plant grows and grows, as does Seymour’s crush on Audrey, but who will get her first?

Join the RCS Drama Club for “Little Shop of Horrors” the rock musical by composer Alan Menken and writer Howard Ashman. Directed by Connie McAfee; Musical Director, Richard Tucker and Assistant Director/Set designer, Jennifer Schuman with lighting and sound support from Ed Sanford; this musical promises to be a night of fun and music. Enjoy the evening of DooWop, Motown and mystery!
