Potluck reading at PH Center

Pine Hill— Writers In the Mountains (WIM) will host a fun afternoon of reading, listening and lunching on Sunday, Nov. 4 from l-3 p.m. at the Pine Hill Community Center. Share your writing and a potluck dish with fellow writers and listeners in a friendly, engaging venue. We want to hear from all writers - novelists, memoirists, poets, journal and short story writers and everyone else! Participants are requested to limit their reading to a maximum of five minutes.

There will also be a special tribute to long-time Pine Hill resident and WIM writer Elaine Mueller, with a reading of her varied writing. Elaine has a diverse writer’s resume – ranging from her work as a produced screenwriter in California to her latest stint as an editor of high-challenge crossword puzzles.

Another event highlight will be an exciting “sneak peak” at a new WIM publication, The WIM Pocket Companion for Writers, written by one of the greatest WIM teachers, Bethany Lyttle

This pocket-sized teaching tool is a collection of 50 compelling, witty, warm, funny and challenging writing exercises that promise to challenge writers of all levels to new heights of creativity. Suggested donation for participation in the Potluck Reading is $5.
Post ‘Why YOU dare to write’ on the WIM Facebook page or tweet using #daretowrite @writersinthemts on twitter.
