Police News: February 20, 2013

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Kahlil M. Williams, 40, of Binghamton on February 13 on a Delaware County Family Court warrant for Failure to Pay Child Support. Williams was remanded to the Delaware County Jail without bail.

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Neil J. Scarfuto, 35, of Long Branch, NJ on February 9 for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, both misdemeanors. This incident resulted from an investigation into a domestic incident in Otsego County. Scarfuto was ticketed for the vehicle and traffic violations and then turned over to the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office.

Delaware County Deputies investigated a one-car property damage auto accident in the Town of Hamden on February 9. Brynna Elliott, 18, of Marathon was operating her motor vehicle when she left the roadway (due to snow covered roads) and struck an embankment causing her vehicle roll over. There were no reported injuries and no traffic summons issued. The Delaware County Sheriff’s Department was assisted on the scene by the Delhi Fire Department.

Delaware County Sheriff Deputy’s investigated a one-car motor vehicle accident on Scotch Mountain Road in the Town of Delhi on February 9. Sean Wahl, 25, of Wolcott drove his vehicle off the roadway, striking several trees causing extensive damage to his vehicle. Wahl was issued a traffic summons for imprudent speed and was released to appear in the Town of Delhi Court on February 26 at 9 a.m. No injuries were reported.

Delaware County Deputies arrested Jason Grizzard, 29, of Hobart on February 14, for Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree and three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. This arrest took place following an incident in Hobart where Grizzard is alleged to have jumped on the hood of a car and smashing the vehicles windshield. He was released on an appearance tickets returnable on March 12 in Stamford Court.

Laura Marsh, 41, of Kunkletown, PA was charged with DWI and failure to keep right after she was stopped by State Police on Route 23 in the Town of Davenport on February 16. She was issued an appearance ticket returnable February 26 in Davenport Town Court.

Kelsey Earl, 17, of Fleischmanns was charged with petit larcency on February 16 following a complain by personnel at the Dollar General store in Margaretville. She is accused of taking a DG Body Rejuvenating Eye Roller device valued at $7.50. She was issued an appearance ticket returnable February 21 in Middletown Court.

Avery Meehan, 21, of Hamden was speeding and having a suspended driver’s license after he was
stopped by State Police on February 14 on Route 28 in the Town of Delhi. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable February 19 in Delhi Town Court.
