PH Center lists activities

Pine Hill Community Center announces two new workshops that are of interest to anyone who enjoys creating art.

• Monday, Oct. 22 from 10:30-noon.  — Creative Doodling with local artist Sharon Suess who will demonstrate making beautiful images with repetitive patterns. $10
If you find yourself doodling while on the phone, or in a meeting, or when your brain is working on something else, then you are a natural for this class. Informal, easy, fun. All materials supplied.
These doodles are small pieces of unplanned, abstract art created from a group of repetitive patterns. The creativity options and pattern combinations are limitless. And anyone can do it!   Sharon Suess is an artist living in Halcottsville.  She has taught classes and exhibited her work in many  venues regionally. 

• Wednesdays, beginning October 24, 2-4 p.m.  — Watercolor Classes.  $10 per session; seniors, $7.
Open class, beginners through advanced - Basics in Water Color Painting - still life, outdoor painting, weather permitting.  Students supply own materials.  
  Helen Zerlin holds a B.A from Queens College , an M.A. from Hunter College,  and a NY State Certfication in Art. She  recently had a photography exhibition   at  the Kingston Library ,a one woman show in Florida, and several group shows in New York City. She works mostly in watercolor pencil, in addition to pastels and oils.
