Pavilion dedication is June 21 at Village Park in Margaretville
Margaretville residents, friends, neighbors and visitors are invited to a concert and reception to benefit the new Margaretville Park Pavilion on Saturday, June 21.
The reception will begin at the Pavilion at 5 p.m. and the concert will follow at 6 p.m. and will feature Julian Fleischer and his Band as well as Eve Silber and others. Tickets are $35 and can be reserved by calling 845 586-1171. Same-day tickets will also be available at the Pavilion.
Fleischer, who splits time between Manhattan and Bovina, describes himself as “jazz-dominant, pop-submissive and even rock-and-roll-curious,” and The New York Times Magazine describes his sound as “smart, genre-busting pop.” His debut CD, “Rather Big,” was described by Billboard as “a potpourri of sweetly memorable material.”
Singer/songwriter Eve Silber is a well-loved jazz performer in and around New York.
The event is the final drive toward the fund-raising goal of having the pavilion fully paid for. Those who are unable to attend but who would still like to make a contribution are invited to donate to the cause.
Organizers are also seeking more Grand Club members who can donate $1,000 or more and whose names will be listed on the dedication plaque.
The event is sponsored by InsideOut, Just Shop, Margaretville Telephone Company, MARK Group, Ron Guichard Realty and the Roxbury Motel.
