Offering thanks to many

To The Editor:
Thank you to everyone who supported the Margaretville Community Thanksgiving Dinner on November 22. It was a great dinner that served about 100 people in the Purcell Center, and provided another 30 people with take-out meals.

I wish that there was space to acknowledge everyone by name, but I know I’d miss someone in the process. I do want to thank the organizing committee of Carol O’Beirne, Rae Brenner, Terry Marks and Iris Mead.

Thank you to Freshtown and the Flour Patch for their donations. Freshtown worked with their suppliers to reduce the costs to us tremendously, and the Flour Patch donated the rolls. We also want to recognize Sacred Heart Church for providing the space, and Dick Tucker for the live music to accompany our dinner!

To everyone else who baked a pie, provided food, roasted turkeys, served or cleaned up, or gave money to pay the bills, thank you very much.
