New Kingston Valley Grange held their regular meeting Thursday night. The Lecturer, Georgia Taylor, had her two grandsons Curtis and Cedric Taylor entertain us playing their violins. She held a quiz on the Declaration of Independence. Georgia announced the birthdays: Barb Condon the 19th, Edwin Vermilyea 21st and Barbara Kapito the 30th.
Anniversaries were: Ron and Karen Hull the 6th, Edwin and Janet Vermilyea the 13th and Fred and Joann Lanzi the 17th. Her thought for the day, “The World seemed to be a better place when folks opened their meals with prayer instead of a can opener.” Finally, Activities Director Pat Clark announced that the baking contest will be held next month, for more information contact the chair Thelma Ruff. Monthly Activity Director Barbara Clark announced that there will be a game night July 17 at 7 p.m.
Jay and Julie McDermott and daughter Jessie and son Jason of New Providence, N.J. spent the weekend with her mother Blossom Sherman.
Frank and Rosemary Wisniewski of Highland Falls spent the weekend with her mother Wanda Lanzi. Paul and Elaine Krum of Afton called on them Saturday afternoon.
Terry Gray of Sellersburg, Ind., arrived Thursday to visit his parents Bud and Jean Gray and other relatives.
Norma King and daughters Melissa and Jennifer of Rockville, Md., spent the weekend with her parents Doug and Barb Condon.
