New Auxiliary Thrift Shop grand opening is Saturday

The Auxiliary of Margaretville Hospital and Mountainside Residential Care Center will hold a grand opening of its new Thrift Shop at 850 Main Street, Margaretville on Saturday, Feb. 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Volunteers are busy making last-minute preparations for the grand opening. The new shop (approximately opposite B&D Motors) will have about the same amount of space as the former facility in the center of the village.
The Thrift Shop has been located for the past 12 years on the ground floor of the Masonic Building. That building has been sold to the Delaware County Industrial Agency which will soon begin work to create an eCenter business incubator at the site.
Auxiliary President Sue Adams said the new shop will be filled with a variety of modestly-priced goods, including clothing, housewares, bedding and linens, jewelry, toys and possibly some furniture. There will also be adjacent storage space and an area for an office.
