New Altar Servers at Holy Innocents Church

Bishop Frank Betancourt, along with Father Dante Tarantini, have been scheduling classes for the next generation of altar servers at Holy Innocents Church in Halcottsville. Dante Tarantini Jr. has been an altar server for several years now, but with the recent move to college in Cobleskill he has passed on the torch.
MacKenzie Larsen-Wright of Halcott Center and Steven Jackson of Arkville are eager to assume their new found responsibilities at Holy Innocents as Altar Servers.
The children have been learning about the proper names of certain items in the church through instruction with both Father Dante and Bishop Frank along with Mr. Carl Pope on Saturdays.
Steven and MacKenzie served their first official mass on Sunday, Sept. 7.
MacKenzie and Steven are both fifth-grade students at Margaretville Central School and have also helped out with masses at Mountainside in Margaretville.
