Arkville resident Nedra E. Riccoboni, 90, loving wife of Cesare Riccoboni, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014 at Margaretville Hospital.
Born in Allaben on January 18, 1924, she was the daughter of Marvin and Harriet Bussy.
Nedra and Chet owned and operated the well-known Ricci’s Bar & Grill in Arkville for many years. She also solely ran the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles in Arkville for several years.
She was an avid golfer who lived to play golf with her friends, and dearest friend, Betty Griffin.
She enjoyed her Monday card games with the girls and also loved her flower gardens.
Nedra was very dedicated to her husband, Chet. She and Chet just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on Valentine’s Day. She had a great sense of humor and was a kind, wonderful and sweet lady who will be missed very much by her family and dear friends.
Nedra was predeceased by her sisters, Marie Reynolds and more recently Rose Schoonmaker.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Cesare (Chet) Riccoboni; a daughter, Lynette Keator; a son, Richard Griffin; a granddaughter, Tanya Griffin; a great-granddaughter Amanda
DeWitt; a step-son, Timothy Riccoboni; step granddaughters, Janine Tangredi and Donna Pangburn; a step-grandson, Robert Pangburn, and great grandsons, Joseph and Michael Tangredi. Nedra is also survived by two nieces and a nephew.
There will be a celebration of Nedra’s life on Saturday, March 8, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Arkville Firehouse. Please come and join her family and friends for refreshments and wonderful remembrances of Nedra.
