"Natural Collections" show opening at Zoom Gallery

Fleischmanns — Art Etcetera’s Zoom Gallery at 1033 Main Street in Fleischmanns will present a new exhibit, “Natural Collections,” paintings, drawings and collage inspired by nature by artist Diane Adzema. The exhibit will hang from September 5 through October 4 with an opening reception on Saturday, Sept. 5 from 1 to 5 p.m.
Diane Adzema is a gifted painter and sculptor as well as a multimedia artist and designer.  Her paintings of oil, wax and glazes are a true alchemist fantasy and the complex layering of color create an ethereal display.
Adzema creates a visual juxtaposition, an intimate theatre redefining the artifacts’ original aesthetic.  This artist sees objects of nature as having power or magical qualities that are beyond their form or function.  These naturalistic symbols create a new time and place with tales of reality and fables of the unconscious reflecting on mankind’s most precious resource...nature.
The underlying theme of her art focuses on the pressing need for harmony with nature in a vastly turbulent world.  This artist believes in observation and the beauty of nature.  She welcomes you to participate through the mysterious world of fantasy and illusion.
Gallery hours are Thursday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information call 254-4998.
