Musical duo in Fleischmanns Sunday

Fleischmanns — Jeanne Palmer and Connie Mohar will appear on Sunday, Aug.14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fleischmanns Market on Main, on Main Street in Fleischmanns.
Jeanne Palmer, a Roxbury part-timer is a musician and dancer for much of her life. As a choreographer and director of musical theatre she toured the world and now enjoys playing the fiddle with friends both in the city and in the Catskills.

Connie (Conrad) a lifelong professional musician, played baritone sax with the Hal McIntyre Orchestra, Bobby Sherwood, and Sonny Dunham, as well as piano with Louis Prima and Keely Smith and the Cab Calloway Orchestra. After moving to New Kingston in the ’60s, Connie summers in his mountain cabin and winters in Florida, playing jazz saxophone and keyboards in Palm Beach.

Jeanne and Connie play accordion locally where they’re known for their authentic renditions of the grand American standards from the 1920s through the 1940s, and can be heard most Saturdays at the Pakatakan Farmers’ Market at the Round Barn on Route 30.
