Muriel Robinson

Muriel Scott Robinson, 69, of Margaretville, passed away Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010. She was born on Aug. 11, 1940 and grew up in the Catskill Mountain region of Upstate New York.
Muriel received her B.S. in business from the University at Albany in Albany, and was for many years Chief Financial Officer of the Audubon Naturalist Society of the Mid-Atlantic States in Chevy Chase, Md. In addition to her activities as a member of the Palmetto Women’s Club and the Museum of Arts & Sciences Guild, Muriel was a member of the Westminster-By-The-Sea- Presbyterian Church. Throughout her life Muriel was an active thinker and supporter of numerous causes that piqued her interest.
A year after her first bout with cancer she took it upon herself to walk in a marathon to fight hunger.
Surviving are her adoring husband, Hank; three children, Katherine J. Robinson, Montgomery Village, Mary-land, Heather M.R. Taylor, Chittenango, N.Y. and David S.L. Robinson, Montgomery Village, Maryland; two grandchildren, Erin M. Taylor, and Finn W. Taylor, Chittenango, N.Y., as well as her cousin, Carol Scott Bouton, Roxbury, N.Y. and many other loving members of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 1 at the Westminster By-the-Sea Presbyterian Church, 3221 S. Peninsula Dr., Daytona Beach Shores, Fla.
