Middletown Republicans hosting dinner
Margaretville — The Middletown Republican Committee will host a dinner on Saturday, April 27 with a social hour beginning at 6 p.m. at the Margaretville Firehall. The dinner will be catered by Mary’s Cookin’ Again. Wines for dinner and sangria for the social hour are being provided by Steve Yaekel of Margaretville Liquor.
The dinner program includes Congressman Chris Gibson, who will be the keynote speaker, and Assemblyman Pete Lopez, who will be honoring Kathy Moore as Republican of the Year. He will present her with a framed citation from Assemblymen Cliff Crouch and Pete Lopez. Ms. Moore will also receive a recognition plaque from the Middletown Republican Committee that will be presented by Kurt Holcherr.
The committee will also recognizing election inspectors and honor each for the central role they play in the voting process, as well as the long hours they devote; as much as a 16-hour day for general elections at their assigned poll sites.
Also attending will be three officers from the Delaware County Republican Committee; Maria Kelso, chairwoman, Andrea Campbell, secretary and former Margaretville resident, and Tom Mills, vice chairman and Delaware County Sheriff. Each will give brief remarks.
Tickets were sold out early on and are no longer available. The committee expects to hold another dinner around this time next year.
