Marjorie Hewitt

Marjorie E. Hewitt, 73, of Roxbury died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012 at her residence.
Marjorie was born in Roxbury on September 14, 1939, the daughter of Roger and Edna (Lutz) Harrington.

She was a stay-at-home mom for her five children and later worked for Miller and CVS pharmacies in Margaretville and at the Margaretville Post Office. She enjoyed playing the bingo.

Marjorie is survived by her husband, Joseph B. Hewitt; her children, Mary and her husband Dick Colfer, Carol and her husband Ken Marszalek, Joseph “Gump” and his wife Kit, Barbara Hewitt and her husband Clinton Jackson, and Bridget and her husband Sky Friedman. Also surviving are her sister, Betty Heiseler; seven grand children; two great-grand children, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, Joanne Ponzio, and by her parents.

A celebration of Marjorie’s life will be held at the Roxbury Fire Department Community Hall on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Donations may be made to the Catskill Area Hospice in memory of Marjorie E. Hewitt.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Miller Funeral Home, Roxbury.
