Marie Corrigan Geoghan, 93, of Kingston, formerly of Fleischmanns, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2011 at Kingston Hospital, Kingston.
She was born December 25, 1917 in Brooklyn, the daughter of John and Julia (McCormack) Corrigan.
She married Henry Vincent Geoghan August 10, 1940 at Resurrection-Ascension Church, Rego Park. He died January 11, 1999.
Marie was a member of the Rosary Society of Saint Andrew Avellino Parish, Flushing and of the choir of Sacred Heart Church, Margaretville.
She spent the last years of her life happily crocheting over 300 blankets for the Red Cross.
Surviving are sons, Vincent, Thomas, Dennis, Kevin and Sean and daughters, Maryann and Brigid; grandchildren, Brendan, Caitlin, Julianna Geoghan, Michael, Brian, Keri-Dawn and Daniel Geoghan, Peter Geoghan, Samantha Geoghan, Brett and Tarajane McGinleyMarie Fernandez, Elizabeth and Georgia Geoghan; Great-grandchildren, Tatiana Restrepo, Riley, Erin and Connor Geoghan, Andrew and Jack Geoghan and Sarah Geoghan.
She was predeceased by one daughter, Muriel.
There will be a burial ceremony for Marie and Henry Geoghan together with deceased daughter, Muriel Fernandez on August 12, 2012 at St. Anne’s Cemetery, 25 Hallihan Hill Rd., Kingston.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Hynes Funeral Home, Margaretville.
