Margaretville Field Days open Tuesday
School’s out. Vintage baseball is in season. The Pakatakan Farmers’ Market is open for business. And, as of Tuesdsay, the latest reminder that summer is in full swing will once again be upon us.
Carnival-goers can enjoy rides, games, food and fun when the Margaretville Fire Department’s Annual Field Days begin at the village park on Tuesday, when rides open at 6 p.m.
The “Pay One Price” specials, during which carnival-goers can pay a flat fee and go on rides an unlimited number of times during the allotted time period, will take place Wednesday from 6 to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m.
Friday and Saturday will feature the firemen’s chicken barbecue, starting at 12 p.m. and continuing while supplies last.
On Friday evening the Detour Band will perform at 7 p.m., and the first of two fireworks displays will take place Friday night, July 4, at 9:30 p.m. The second will take place Saturday at 10:15 p.m.
Sunday will be another “Pay One Price” day from 1 to 6 p.m.
