Leigh F. Kaestner Williams, 52, of Denver, died Thursday, March 27, 2008 at her home with her devoted family by her side.
She was born July 18, 1955 in Huntington, the daughter of Richard and Frances Kaestner.
She married Edward Williams on December 29, 1974 at Hauppauge.
She graduated from Harborfields High School, Greenlawn, and received an associate of arts degree from Suffolk Community College on January 10, 1975.
Leigh worked for several organizations doing bookkeeping services including the YMCA in Huntington, legal aide in Hauppauge, The Catskill Center in Arkville, Jim Needham and as bookkeeper and deputy town clerk for the Town of Roxbury.
She loved gardening and working in her greenhouse and enjoyed reading, photography and dancing, which she taught.
Surviving are her husband, Edward Williams, daughters and son, Melanie, Kelly and Edward Williams; her mother, Frances Kaestnerk; sisters, Nancy and Patti; sister-in-law to Lawrence McLafferty, Robert Shirley, Corinne and Jack Brooks and Henry Williams; aunt to several, Cindy, John, Kathy, James, Rob, Ryan, Elizabeth, Alex, Megan and Julie and a great aunt and cousin to several. She was predeceased by her father, Richard ‚ÄúChickie‚Äù Kaestner.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 31 at St. Philip Neri R.C. Church, Grand Gorge with Rev. Joseph Arockiasamy, celebrant.
Following the services a reception was held at the Full Moon Resort, Big Indian.
Burial is in Bedell Cemetery, Fleischmanns.
Donations in memory of Leigh F. Williams may be made to the American Cancer Society or the ARC in Hamden.
