A program titled “Leeches and Laudanum: Medicine in Early New York,” will be held at 2 p.m. at the Margaretville Presbyterian Church Hall on Orchard Street. Living History Re-enactor Stuart Lehman will discuss medicine as it was practiced from the Revolutionary War to the Civil War by doctors, midwives and the everyday housewife. Sponsored by Historical Society of the Town of Middletown. Free for HSM members, $2 non-members.
